Reiki Attunement – In Sync With The Universe
from:If you're interested in reiki attunement, you are probably wondering what it is all about. Maybe you are thinking about taking a course in reiki and becoming a practitioner. If you do, you will at some point along the line receive a reiki attunement. In fact, more than one reiki attunement, as there are attunements at each level you attain.
The reiki attunement is how you actually become a reiki practitioner. You have to be attuned to be able to use reiki by the way. The reiki attunement process allows you to access the Universal Life Force energy to heal and help others. In most instances, reiki attunement can only be given by a reiki master. Although, there seems to be some controversy about this with the advent of self-help, self-attunement books on reiki. What you choose to believe is up to you after you do your research on reiki attunement. In any event, reiki attunement can be given to either train one for reiki or to give someone a wider experience of reiki than is usually experienced in treatments.
The attunement ceremony is a ceremony of celebrating spirit. The reiki master uses the reiki symbols and other gestures in a certain way around you, and this attunes your energy field to the energies of the symbols. Your reiki attunement is permanent.
One of the things you will also learn about reiki when you receive your attunement is the five principles of reiki. The idea in receiving these five principles is that you live them – as in - you not only DO reiki, but BE reiki. Those five Ideals are: Just for today, I will let go of anger. Just for today, I will let go of worry. Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings. Just for today, I will do my work honestly. Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbor and every living thing. Of course if you do this each and every day, as is the point, you will become something different, and so will your spirit.
Reiki is a true celebration of the gift of universal life force energy and it is something to treat with reverence and respect. It is to be used only for the greatest good. And if you choose to cheat and use reiki for other than the best of reasons, you will eventually pay for that. You are dealing with the highest of divine energies and it is not to be trifled with. This is one of the many reasons the school of self-taught reiki isn't regarded with a great deal of respect. Too many things can fall through the cracks while reading a book. And definitely the Master can point you in the right direction when learning about this gift. A book is never a substitute for personal, one-on-one training.
